Here lies his body but his spirit is gone
What he once was he’s passed on.
He learned as he climbed life’s ladder
The material thing doesn’t matter.
So he passed it all on.
Formal education was lacking
No degree was he packing
But what he had, he passed it all on.
Books he read for pleasure
He learned just for leisure
Then he passed it all on!
From teachers he gleaned knowledge
From grade school to college
Then he passed it all on!
To small children he read treasures
Taught from books they’d get pleasure
Then he passed it all on!
Yes here lies Dan’s body
But his spirit lives on
You too can be immortal
Just pass it all on!
